15-Year-Old Girl Shot at Muzaffarpur Coaching Centre, Police Launch Investigation
Muzaffarpur: A minor girl was injured in a shooting incident at a coaching institute in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, causing widespread panic among students and staff. The incident occurred during an English class in the Sakra police station area, where 15-year-old Khushboo Kumari was struck by a bullet.
The firing took place at a local coaching institute, where students were attending their regular lessons. Mukesh Kumar, the director of the institute, described hearing a noise akin to a firecracker, which swiftly led to chaos inside the classroom. It wasn’t until moments later that it became clear that Khushboo had been shot. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where her condition is now being monitored.
The local police, led by Sakra station head officer Raju Kumar Pal, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. “We are investigating the firing incident that took place at the coaching centre. One student has been injured, and her condition is being assessed. We suspect a student may have brought a firearm to the institute, but all angles are being examined,” SHO Pal said.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a student could have smuggled a gun into the class. CCTV footage from the institute is being scrutinised to determine the exact sequence of events. Security has been tightened around the area, with officers deployed to prevent further unrest.
The police have yet to ascertain the full motive behind the shooting, but they have assured the public that the truth will emerge soon. Parents, students, and local residents remain on edge as the investigation continues.
