20 Thousand Kg Naivedyam to Be Prepared at Mahavir Mandir for New Year Celebrations

Patna: Mahavir Mandir in Patna is gearing up for New Year 2025 with grand arrangements to accommodate the large influx of devotees expected on January 1. A team of over 70 artisans from Tirupati will prepare 20,000 kg of Naivedyam, the temple’s signature offering made from pure cow ghee. The prasad, certified by the Government of India, will be ready by December 31 under the supervision of the temple management.

To ensure smooth darshan and prasad distribution, six priests from Ayodhya will join the temple staff on January 1. Volunteers and a sufficient number of priests will be present in the sanctum sanctorum to manage the crowd. The temple gates will open at 5 am, with separate queues for male and female devotees. A special Jagran Aarti will mark the beginning of the day’s festivities.

Security measures have been enhanced, with 220 personnel deployed, including 120 from Bihar Police and 100 private security staff. The district administration has also assigned magistrates and issued guidelines to maintain law and order. CCTV cameras will provide round-the-clock surveillance to ensure the safety of devotees.

The temple’s three peaks are being adorned with decorative lights, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. All necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that devotees can offer their prayers and celebrate the New Year without any inconvenience.
