6-Hour Power Cut in Patna on Saturday for Maintenance Work

Electricity Company Server Failure Disrupts Recharge for 18 Lakh Consumers

Patna: Residents of Patna will experience a six-hour power cut on Saturday due to scheduled maintenance work. The disruption will affect several areas, including Bazar Samiti Road, Saketpuri, New Kunj Colony, Bahadurpur Village, Punpun Bazaar, and Kurthaul.

According to the electricity department, the Saidpur power substation will be closed from 11 a.m. to 12 noon for maintenance. This will result in power outages in Bazar Samiti Road, Saketpuri, New Kunj Colony, and Bahadurpur.

Additionally, the supply from the Parsa Bazaar power substation will be halted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., affecting Punpun Bazaar, Kurthaul, West Chhatna, and Pipra areas near the Etbarpur railway line.

Residents across Bihar, including the capital Patna, are already grappling with humid heat. The prolonged power cuts in the name of maintenance have exacerbated the situation, leading to water supply issues and general inconvenience. Housewives, in particular, are bearing the brunt of these outages, which also negatively impact local businesses.

As the city braces for the scheduled power cut, the electricity department has urged residents to plan accordingly and stay prepared for the temporary disruption.
