Bihar School Examination Board Announces Schedule for 10th and 12th Exams in 2024

Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has unveiled the schedule for the 10th and 12th examinations slated for the year 2024, along with the release of the annual examination calendar. Board Chairman Anand Kishore shared this information during a press conference on Monday, providing key details about the upcoming examinations.

As per the calendar, the Intermediate (12th) Annual Examination 2024 is set to commence in two shifts from February 1 to February 12. The first shift exam will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, while the second shift will take place from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. The practical exams for Intermediate students are scheduled to be held between January 10 and January 20.

The Matriculation (10th) examination is scheduled to kick off from February 15 and will continue until February 23, also in two shifts. Practical exams for Matriculation students will be conducted between January 18 and January 20.

The BSEB’s examination calendar for 2024 also includes the Secondary Teacher Entrance Test (STET), set to be held twice during the year. The first STET exam is scheduled between March 1 and March 20, while the second one will take place from September 10 to September 30.

In addition to these examinations, the board will also oversee the Industrial Training Higher Secondary Level Language (Hindi and English) Examination, Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test (BSSTET), D.P.Ed, D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Examination, D.El.Ed first and second-year examinations, and enrollment in Simultala Residential School, Jamui.

Known for its prompt examination schedule, the BSEB has a track record of conducting exams early compared to other boards. Last year, the BSEB held the 10th and 12th exams in February, and this year, there are indications that both Inter and Matriculation examinations will follow suit in February.

To successfully pass the Bihar Board 10th and 12th examinations, students are required to secure a minimum of 33^ marks in all subjects. However, for those who fall short of this requirement, a supplementary exam option is available.
