CUSB Opens PG Admissions for 2025-26; Apply by June 2

Gayaji: The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has commenced the online application process for admission to 28 postgraduate programmes for the academic year 2025-26, offering a total of 1,158 seats. Applications must be submitted by June 2, 2025.

This year, the university has increased the number of seats in the one-year LLM course from 38 to 50. The announcement was made by Controller of Examinations Dr. Shantigopal Pain through an official notice published on the university’s website www.cusb.ac.in.

CUSB’s Public Relations Officer Md. Mudassir Alam stated that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CUET-PG 2025 scorecards. Candidates who have cleared the exam and meet the eligibility criteria can apply online via https://cusbcuet.samarth.edu.in/pg/.

Seat Distribution Across Programmes

Dr. Pine informed that postgraduate admissions are open across multiple disciplines including:

  • 35 seats each in MSc Biotechnology, MSc Bioinformatics, MSc Environmental Science, MSc Geology, MA/MSc Geography, MSc Mathematics, MSc Statistics, MSc Computer Science, Master in Data Science & Applied Statistics, and BSc Life Science (integrated).
  • 45 seats each in MSc Artificial Intelligence, MSc Physics, MSc Chemistry, M.Com., MA Journalism & Mass Communication, MA Psychology, MA Sociology, MSW, MA Economics, MA Political Science & International Relations, MA History, MA English, and MA Hindi.
  • 63 seats are available in the M.Ed programme.
  • 15 seats each in M.P.Ed, LLM, M.Pharm (Pharmacist), and M.Pharm (Pharmacology).

Application & Admission Process

Deputy Registrar (Academics and Examinations) Kumar Kaushal clarified that only candidates who register on the CUSB Samarth portal will be eligible for counseling and admission. Registration requires a non-refundable fee of ₹500 per programme for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, and ₹200 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

The first cut-off list will be released on June 11, and selected candidates can deposit their admission fee until June 15. If seats remain vacant, second and third cut-off lists will be published on June 20 and June 27, respectively.
