Patna: In a marathon interrogation lasting about 8 hours, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav in the land for jobs case. Emerging from the Patna ED office at 8 pm, Tejashwi flashed a victory sign, triggering cheers from his supporters. A team of 12 ED officers directed 60 questions at him during the session.
Tejashwi arrived at the ED office on Bank Road at Patna, at 11:30am. His sister, Misa Bharti, expressed hope for justice and, when asked about Tejashwi’s response during the questioning, urged patience.
Tejashwi faced a barrage of questions during the interrogation, including inquiries about the formation of the company he owns, the genesis of the idea to establish the company during his minor years, and the source of income that led to transactions worth crores in a few years, despite the initial valuation of the company at Rs 4 crores. The investigators delved into the significant surge in the company’s profit, amounting to several crores, during Tejashwi’s transition from a minor to an adult.
Additionally, scrutiny extended to the acquisition of a luxurious house valued at Rs 160 crore for a nominal amount in the name of Tejashwi’s company, prompting questions about the origin of the substantial earnings in crores of rupees.
Tejashwi’s supporters were vocal outside the ED office, rallying behind him with slogans. Meanwhile, party MLAs were seen congregating in a nearby temple. This intense interrogation follows the 10-hour questioning session of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad by the ED on Monday.
