Father Files Case Against Son for Staged Robbery in Nalanda

Nalanda: A shocking case of robbery has emerged in Nalanda, where a father filed a complaint against his own son for orchestrating a robbery at their home. The incident took place in Sarvodaya Nagar under the Deepnagar police station area. According to Shivshankar Pandey, the father, he left home on 22 October, leaving his younger son alone. Upon returning, his son claimed that four people had broken into the house, held him hostage, and looted ₹1.06 lakh in cash and various pieces of jewelry.

Initially, Shivshankar suspected his elder daughter-in-law due to previous threats she had made, but during the investigation, discrepancies were found in the son’s statements. Upon strict interrogation, the son confessed to staging the robbery with his friends in an attempt to purchase an iPhone. He had made a duplicate key and, with the help of his friends, used a cutter to break into the cupboard and steal the valuables.

Following the confession, the police arrested the son along with three of his friends. Items recovered included 4 gold bangles, 2 jhumkas, 1 maangtika, 3 sikris, 2 pairs of silver anklets, and ₹1 lakh 780 in cash. Additionally, an iron cutter and four mobile phones were seized.

One of the arrested accomplices, Satyam Kumar, was a resident of Srinagar in the Tharthari police station area and was pursuing a BCA course. He was living in a rented house in Nalanda Colony. The police are continuing to conduct raids to apprehend any remaining suspects.
