In response to the increase in mosquito-borne diseases, health authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and undergo testing if symptoms appear. Authorities recommend ongoing mosquito protection as the outbreak continues.

To address the broader demand for medical care, the health department will expand the number of emergency beds across district hospitals. The current capacity of around 400 beds in 36 district hospitals will be raised to 1000, with a minimum of 20 emergency beds per district hospital, including five dedicated to serious cases. Operation theater facilities will also be added to support the growing patient load, which has increased from 15-20 to 30-50 patients daily.
