ACAD Global 2025 Launched, Uniting Crossword Enthusiasts Worldwide

Patna: ACAD Global 2025, the first-ever international cryptic crossword contest, was launched in a grand virtual ceremony by former Indian cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar and Vivek Singh, IAS, Chief Mentor of Extra-C. This unique event has sparked a global wave of excitement, attracting participants from every continent, promising an unprecedented platform for crossword enthusiasts.

The contest has drawn diverse registrations, ranging from students in residential schools in Araria and Jehanabad, Bihar, to seasoned cruciverbalists in the USA and UK. Participants from countries like Mauritius, Oman, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Gambia, and Sweden have joined the challenge, showcasing the contest’s ability to connect minds across geographies and cultures.

During the inaugural address, Dilip Vengsarkar likened solving crosswords to his cricketing career, emphasizing the importance of mental agility. He encouraged participants to embrace the process of learning and analytical thinking, drawing parallels between anticipating cricket deliveries and decoding cryptic clues.

Vivek Singh highlighted how ACAD Global 2025 fosters global unity through the shared passion for problem-solving. He called the contest a platform not just for solving clues but also for celebrating intellectual brilliance and connecting people worldwide.

The daily contest challenges participants with a cryptic clue posted on www.crypticsingh.com at 6:00 PM IST, with answers to be submitted by 5:30 PM IST the following day. Running until December 15, 2025, the competitive phase from February 1 to October 31 will determine the ACAD Global 2025 Champion.
