Acharya Shriram Sharma’s 50-Foot Statue Given Dasasnaan on Guru Purnima

The world’s tallest statue of Acharya Shriram Sharma in Mastichak was bathed with ten sacred elements during Guru Purnima rituals.

Mastichak: On the occasion of Guru Purnima, the world’s tallest statue of Acharya Shriram Sharma received a ceremonial Dasasnaan on Thursday at Mastichak, Bihar. The 50-foot statue, located on the Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital campus, was bathed with ten sacred elements – milk, curd, ghee, honey, ash, cow dung, cow urine, all medicines, soil, and Ganga water.

The ritual was performed with Vedic mantras by Acharya Vikas Sharma and Ram Bihari Bhardwaj of Gayatri Shaktipeeth. Large numbers of devotees, including followers from Gujarat, gathered for the ceremony.

Dr Mithilesh Pratap, Dean (Academic) of Bihar Health Sciences University, attended as chief host along with his wife. Both performed the ritualistic worship of Acharya Shriram Sharma’s Paduka and Dasasnaan. Managing trustee of Yugrishi Shriram Sharma Acharya Charitable Trust, Mrityunjay Tiwari, was also present.

At Mastichak Gayatri Shaktipeeth, a five-kund Gayatri Mahayagna was performed, followed by Kanya Pujan where girls were presented with clothes. A bhandaar was organised, and thousands of devotees partook in the mahaprasad.

In the evening, a special aarti and Deep Mahayagna were organised. Girl students from the Football to Eyeball programme of Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital lit thousands of lamps across the temple premises, filling the Shaktipeeth with light and devotion.
