Neha Sharma Takes to the Streets in Bhagalpur, Campaigns for Father's Lok Sabha Bid

Bhagalpur: As the political fervor intensifies in Bihar’s Bhagalpur Lok Sabha constituency ahead of the second phase of elections, Congress candidate Ajit Sharma receives a notable boost from his daughter, Bollywood actress Neha Sharma. The actress took to the streets on Monday, spearheading a spirited campaign for her father’s electoral bid.

Accompanied by her father, Neha Sharma embarked on a vibrant road show, commencing from Shermari Bazaar and winding its way through the bustling streets to Kahalgaon. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd, primarily comprising young supporters, who thronged the route to catch a glimpse of the actress. However, the surge in attendance led to congestion and subsequent traffic snarls along the way. Joining the spectacle were hundreds of workers from the Grand Alliance, further energizing the campaign trail.

Ajit Sharma, Neha’s father, currently serves as an MLA from Bhagalpur Sadar and is now vying for the Bhagalpur Lok Sabha seat under the Congress banner. Neha Sharma, leveraging her star power, passionately seeks support for her father through these road shows, amplifying his electoral reach.

This isn’t the first time Neha has lent her support to her father’s political aspirations. She actively campaigned during the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, engaging with constituents and participating in similar road shows. Despite speculation surrounding Neha’s potential candidacy for the Bhagalpur seat, she opted out of the electoral race citing prior commitments in the film industry.

With the first phase of voting concluded, the spotlight now shifts to the second phase, slated for April 26, encompassing five key constituencies in Bihar, including Bhagalpur, Banka, Kishanganj, Katihar, and Purnia.
