Patna: Patna’s air connectivity is set to receive a boost this summer as Air India Express introduces two new daily flights—linking the city directly with Guwahati and Hyderabad—starting June 1.
The addition will take the total number of Air India Express flights operating from Patna to 11, up from the current nine. The move is likely to ease travel congestion, especially to Guwahati, which currently sees only one direct flight from Patna, and to Hyderabad, which already has five flights from various airlines.
The new Guwahati-Patna-Guwahati service will depart from Patna at 3:45 pm, reaching Guwahati by 5:20 pm. The return leg will leave Guwahati at 6:20 pm and land in Patna by 8:00 pm.
The Hyderabad-Patna-Hyderabad flight will depart Patna at 9:00 am, reaching Hyderabad by 11:55 am. The return flight will leave Hyderabad at 12:10 pm and land back in Patna at 2:55 pm.
Both flights will operate daily and feature 180-seater aircraft, each equipped with four business class seats. Bookings have already opened for both routes.
Initial fares for June 1 show business class tickets from Patna to Guwahati priced at Rs 12,500, while economy class is available at Rs 7,400. For Hyderabad, business class tickets are listed at Rs 11,600, and economy fares start from Rs 6,600.
This expansion comes as part of Air India Express’s broader strategy to strengthen regional connectivity and improve direct access to underserved routes. For passengers, especially those travelling for business or family commitments, the timing of the new services offers more flexibility and reduces the need for stopovers.
