“AK-47 or Rocket Launcher, Nothing Can Harm Me Now,” Says MP Pappu Yadav After Receiving Bulletproof Land Cruiser
Patna: Amid ongoing death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, independent MP Pappu Yadav has received a bulletproof Land Cruiser as a gift from his friend. The vehicle, equipped with advanced security features, arrived at Yadav’s Arjun Bhawan residence late Monday night and is now being used for his transportation.
The MP, who has reportedly faced over 20 death threats, has recently enhanced security measures at his residence. On November 20, a security scanning machine was installed to prevent unauthorized entry with weapons.
Riding in the newly gifted vehicle, Yadav expressed his gratitude to his friend Prakash, who he said imported the Land Cruiser from another country two weeks ago. “Now, whether it’s an AK-47 or a rocket launcher, this car ensures my safety. Even if the government neglects my security, my friends, the people of Bihar, and the entire country stand with me,” Yadav said.
The Land Cruiser boasts cutting-edge bulletproof technology, including ballistic glass made from lead and polycarbonate. It is designed to withstand 500 rounds of bullets without damage. The vehicle also features a ballistic layer on its inner and outer surfaces, providing protection against explosions. Additionally, its tyres are bullet-resistant, ensuring mobility even in extreme situations.
On November 19, Pappu Yadav received threats via calls and messages from a Pakistani mobile number. The messages, written in Urdu, claimed to be from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, threatening to target him with a rocket launcher. More recently, on November 22, during a press conference at Arjun Bhawan, Yadav disclosed that he had received another death threat through an audio call from a Pakistani WhatsApp number.
The caller, identifying himself as a member of the gang, demanded ₹5 crore and warned of dire consequences if the demand was not met. “Goldie Bhai has said to ask for ₹5 crore. If he pays, fine; if not, kill him,” the caller was heard saying in the audio.
Yadav criticized the government for its inaction, pointing out that several public figures, including RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, actress Kangana Ranaut, and BJP ministers, already have ‘Z’ category security. “The government is silent on enhancing my security despite these threats,” he said.
