Patna: In an effort to turn summer holidays into a time of creativity and cultural enrichment, the Department of Art, Culture and Youth, in collaboration with the Indian Dance Art Temple (Bhartiya Nritya Kala Mandir), is organising a 12-day summer workshop in Patna from May 28 to June 8.
The workshop, which will run daily from 10am to 2pm at the Bahuddeshiya Sanskritik Parisar (Multipurpose Cultural Complex), aims to introduce children to a wide array of traditional Indian art forms. Participants can receive training in dance styles such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi and regional folk dances. Music sessions will include classical vocals, light music and folk songs. For those interested in instrumental training, there will be classes in tabla, Spanish guitar, Hawaiian guitar, keyboard, sitar and flute.
The programme is open to children aged 8 to 16, with free registration available until May 26, on a first-come, first-served basis. Each participant can enrol in only one art form. Registration can be completed via the link: https://clik.now/tho4.
