Patna: The construction of the Ashok Rajpath Double Decker Road, built on 64 pillars with an estimated cost of Rs 422 crore, is in its final phase and is expected to be completed by December. During a recent inspection, District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh directed the Bridge Construction Corporation to ensure the project is finished by the end of the year.
According to officials from the Bridge Construction Corporation, 85 percent of the work has already been completed, and efforts are being made to finish the remaining work swiftly. The elevated road will provide exclusive connectivity to PMCH, with a multi-level parking facility that will connect the first floor to the first level of the elevated road and the second floor to the second level.
Vehicles traveling from Gandhi Maidan to Patna Science College will use the second level of the elevated road, with connections near PMCH, Krishnaghat, and Science College. Conversely, vehicles from the Patna City area heading towards Gandhi Maidan will use the first level, with connections near PMCH and BN College. Additionally, Ashok Rajpath will be linked to JP Ganga Path through Krishnaghat, which is expected to help alleviate traffic congestion in the area.
