Awareness Drive Launched in Patna Ahead of National Lok Adalat

Patna: In preparation for the upcoming National Lok Adalat on Saturday, 14 December 2024, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Patna, flagged off a fleet of mobile awareness vehicles on Wednesday to spread information about the event across the city.

The initiative was inaugurated at 10:00 am by Honorable Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of DLSA, Patna, Rupesh Dev, along with Nitin Tripathi, Secretary of DLSA, Patna. The vehicles will traverse through Patna, raising awareness among residents about the National Lok Adalat and encouraging them to participate for the resolution of reconcilable cases.

The launch event witnessed the presence of several distinguished individuals, including judges from Patna Sadar, the District Public Relations Officer, bank officials, panel advocates, and paralegal volunteers.

The National Lok Adalat is a key initiative under the guidance of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the Bihar State Legal Services Authority. It aims to facilitate the amicable settlement of disputes through a streamlined, cost-effective, and participatory process, thereby reducing the burden on courts and promoting access to justice.

The awareness drive is expected to maximize public participation in the Lok Adalat, ensuring more cases are resolved through mutual reconciliation.
