bangladeshi caught at Supaul border

Supaul: The 45th Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) stationed at Kunauli Border Outpost on the Indo-Nepal border arrested a suspected Bangladeshi national with fake identity documents during a routine checkpost inspection. The individual was attempting to enter India from Nepal when SSB jawans stopped him on suspicion.

Upon being questioned, the suspect attempted to hide his true identity and presented a fake Aadhaar card. He refused to allow a search of his belongings, further raising doubts.

During interrogation, he identified himself as Molla Akbar (49 years as per Aadhaar card, actual age 65 years), son of Molla Rafi, a resident of Tentulberia, Nakshipara police station, Nadia district, West Bengal (741138). However, further questioning revealed inconsistencies in his statements.

Upon further investigation, the suspect admitted that he was arrested by Mumbai Police in 2010-11 on suspicion of being a Bangladeshi national. He was also jailed for six months by Panvel Police for similar charges. Based on his forged documents and misleading statements, the SSB took him into custody and later handed him over to the Kunauli police station for further legal proceedings.

The operation was led by SSB Assistant Sub-Inspector Jaydev Ghosh and other personnel, whose quick action ensured the arrest of the suspect, strengthening border security measures.

SSB officials have confirmed that strict legal action will be taken based on his previous criminal record and use of fake documents. A detailed investigation is underway to uncover the real motive behind his attempt to enter India.
