Bhagalpur’s Nikhil Anand Gets All-India 20th Rank in CA Exams on First Try

Nikhil Anand from Bhagalpur cleared his CA exam with an impressive 20th rank in his very first attempt

Bhagalpur: Nikhil Anand, a resident of Kharmanchak in Bajishahar, Bhagalpur, has made his district proud by securing the 20th rank in the Chartered Accountancy (CA) examination held in May 2025. What makes his success special is that he achieved this in his very first attempt. Nikhil completed his schooling up to class 12 in Bhagalpur and then went to St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata for his B.Com degree.

After completing his intermediate studies, Nikhil started working in an accounting firm while preparing for CA. He managed his time well by studying for 5-6 hours daily after office. In the last six months before the exam, he focused only on his studies and prepared for 10 to 12 hours each day.

Nikhil said that he stayed away from social media during his preparation and paid special attention to self-study and mock tests. According to him, discipline, consistency, and mental strength were the three main reasons for his success. He gave the credit for his achievement to his parents and teachers who always supported him.

His father, Sandeep Kumar Salarpuria, is a businessman, while his mother, Poonam Salarpuria, is a homemaker. His uncle Sharad Salarpuria and aunt Meenu Salarpuria, along with the whole family and people of Bhagalpur, are extremely happy with his achievement. Nikhil’s success has become an inspiration for many students in the district who dream of becoming chartered accountants.
