Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train to Depart from Bhagalpur on July 27 for 12-Day Pilgrimage Tour

Bhagalpur: In a major boost to religious tourism, the Ministry of Railways is set to operate the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train from Bhagalpur railway station on July 27, under the central government’s ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ and ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiatives.
The announcement was made during a press conference at Bhagalpur station on Tuesday by IRCTC Chief Supervisor Kinkar Rai Choudhary and Tourism Monitor Shrimant Bhagat.
12-Day Pilgrimage Journey Covering Key Religious Sites
Operated by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the train will cover a spiritual circuit across South India, offering passengers an 11-night, 12-day journey to several sacred destinations, including:
- Tirupati Balaji
- Rameswaram (Jyotirlinga)
- Madurai
- Kanyakumari
- Mallikarjuna (Jyotirlinga)
Train Route and Stopovers
The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will pass through and stop at the following stations:
Jasidih, Madhupur, Sujalpur, Barakar, Dhanbad, Bokaro Steel City, Muri, Ranchi, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Champa, Bilaspur, Raipur, and Durg.
Fare and Booking Details
- Sleeper Economy Class: ₹22,760 per person
- Third AC: ₹39,990 per person

- Reservation booking counters at railway stations
So far, 60 passengers have booked tickets for this spiritual expedition. The special train will consist of 12 coaches with a total seating capacity of 790 passengers.
