Bhojpuri Star Akshara Singh Joins Jan Suraj Campaign, Expresses Vision for Bihar’s Progress
Patna: Bhojpuri actress and singer Akshara Singh officially joined the Jan Suraj campaign led by former political strategist Prashant Kishore. The induction took place at the Jan Suraj office in Patliputra Colony, Patna, where MLC Afaq Ahmed and former IAS NP Mandal facilitated her membership.
Addressing the gathering, Akshara expressed her commitment to the cause, saying, “Today, as I associate with Jan Suraj Abhiyan, standing here as the daughter of Bihar, I envision a future where Bihar truly thrives and advances. The one adorning every household is not just a son but a daughter. I am the daughter of Bihar, and I am here to contribute to its education and progress.”
Akshara spoke highly of Prashant Kishore’s Jan Suraj Padyatra (foot march), expressing deep admiration for the 15-month-long campaign. When questioned about her potential participation in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, Akshara responded candidly, expressing her willingness to contest if given the opportunity. She dismissed recent rumors about vying for the Ara Lok Sabha seat, clarifying them as baseless speculation.
In response to inquiries about her entry into politics, Akshara said, “While I could join any party, I chose the Jan Suraj family due to the influence of Prashant Kishore’s ideology. I am committed to doing whatever it takes for the welfare of the people of Bihar.”
Her father, the renowned film artist Inderjit Singh, also known as Vipin Singh, seized the moment to join Jan Suraj, aligning with his daughter’s commitment to the political cause.
