Bhojpuri Superstar Pawan Singh Files Independent Nomination for Karakat Lok Sabha Seat

Rohtas: Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh made headlines on Thursday as he filed an independent nomination for the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency. Accompanied by a throng of supporters, Singh’s nomination drew a massive crowd outside the Collectorate gate and along the old GT Road.

Following the nomination process, Singh held a meeting where he was joined by his wife, Jyoti Singh, and mother. This public appearance marked a significant moment as it was the first time the couple was seen together following their reconciliation in a divorce case.

Addressing supporters, Singh reaffirmed his commitment to serve his constituency, declaring, “Pawanwa is not going anywhere now. He is the son of Karakat, and he has served everyone.” Promising initiatives to support education and marriage expenses for underprivileged daughters and increase pensions for the elderly, Singh vowed to hold his mother accountable for any missteps.

The presence of Jyoti Singh at the nomination meeting sparked widespread discussion, considering the couple’s recent reunion after a period of separation. Analysts speculate that her support may bolster Singh’s electoral prospects.

Prior to filing his nomination, Singh paid a visit to the temple of Bholenath to seek blessings, emphasizing his spiritual resolve in the electoral arena.

The electoral battle for the Karakat seat promises to be intense, with RLJD leader Upendra Kushwaha representing the NDA and MLA leader Rajaram Kushwaha from the Grand Alliance. Singh’s entry into the race adds a third dimension, shaping the contest into a triangular one.

Singh’s recent road show in a Range Rover, accompanied by a convoy of 150 vehicles, stirred excitement among supporters. However, the event also led to chaos at certain points, prompting authorities to file FIRs against Singh in five police stations.
