Bihar Agricultural College Holds Monthly Teachers-Scientists Council Meeting

Sabour: The monthly meeting of the College Teachers-cum-Scientists Council was held at Bihar Agricultural College, Sabour, under the chairmanship of newly appointed Principal Dr. M.K. Sinha, on Tuesday. The meeting serves as a platform for faculty members to present their monthly work reports and discuss any challenges encountered.

The College Teachers-cum-Scientists Council, which has been in existence for several years, functions as an advisory body rather than an administrative unit. Membership is compulsory for all scientists and teachers at the college, with the council being run by a nominated secretary. The council operates independently, funding its activities through annual contributions from its members.

Currently, the council is led by Dr. Ram Bhajan Verma, Senior Scientist in Horticulture (Vegetables), as Secretary, with Dr. Shashikant from the Plant Physiology Department and Dr. Rakesh Dev Ranjan from the Biochemistry Department serving as Joint Secretary and Treasurer, respectively. To ensure smooth operations, a scientist from each department is nominated as a representative on the council.
