Bihar Agricultural University Nursery awarded 3 stars by NHB
Bhagalpur: Horticulture Garden of Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour has been recognized with the highest three-star rating by the National Horticulture Board (NHB) Gurgaon, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Wefare, Govertment of India. This significant achievement marks it as the first nursery in the Bihar to receive such a distinguished recognition from the NHB.
Since its establishment, the Horticulture Nursery has been a cornerstone of Bihar Agricultural College, supplying quality planting material and playing a pivotal role in transforming mango and litchi cultivation in Bhagalpur and the surrounding districts. This accreditation underscores the nursery’s longstanding commitment to excellence and its substantial impact on fruit grower in the region.
Dr. Feza Ahmad, Director of Seed and Farm, remarked, “The Horticulture Garden Nursery has been at the heart of fruit growers for many years, selling millions of fruit plants and significantly improving the livelihoods of farmers. This recognition by the NHB is a testament to our dedication and hard work.”

The NHB accreditation confirms that our horticulture nursery meets the highest standards of quality in sapling production, pest management, and sustainable practices in the field of horticulture,” said Dr. Singh.
