Bihar Agricultural University to Host Seminar on Digital Learning and Career Opportunities

Sabour: Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour, is set to host a one-day seminar on March 27, 2025, titled “From Clicks to Careers: Leveraging Digital Learning & E-Mentoring for Success.” The event aims to familiarize university faculty and postgraduate students with online learning platforms and explore career prospects in agriculture and related sectors, with a strong emphasis on agri-entrepreneurship and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Digital Technology: A New Pathway for Career Growth
Dr. D.R. Singh, Vice Chancellor of BAU and Patron of the seminar, highlighted the importance of integrating digital technologies in education to enhance learning outcomes and career opportunities. “Equipping teachers and students with digital tools is essential to improving their knowledge base and enabling them to excel in their careers,” he stated.
Revolutionizing Learning Through Online Education Platforms
Dr. A.K. Singh, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and seminar chairman, underscored the transformative impact of online education platforms. “MOOCs, SWAYAM, and NPTEL have revolutionized learning, making education more accessible and flexible. Additionally, e-mentoring is proving to be an effective approach, offering personalized guidance and career counseling,” he said.
Exploring Agri-Tech and Entrepreneurship
The seminar will cover a range of topics, including online agriculture courses, drone technology, precision agriculture, and entrepreneurial ventures in the agricultural sector. It seeks to strengthen academic learning while promoting mentorship and business opportunities for students and educators.

With over 120 in-person attendees and more than 125 virtual participants, the seminar will feature four technical sessions led by industry experts:
- Mr. Lennis Thomas & Ms. Sanchari Bose (Project Officers, SWAYAM NPTEL, IIT Kharagpur) – Insights into SWAYAM & NPTEL initiatives, the role of local chapters, and admission processes for online agriculture courses.
- Mr. Roshan Kumar (CEO & Co-Founder, Technoground Pvt. Ltd., Begusarai, Bihar) – Career prospects in drone technology and precision agriculture.
- Mr. O.P. Singh (Chief Advisor, Entrepreneurship Chapter) – Opportunities in agri-entrepreneurship and the MSME sector.
