Chhath in Arwal Bihar

Patna – In an effort to acquaint the public with the rich tradition of the Chhath festival, Akashvani will feature eyewitness accounts of the first and second days of puja from Chhath Ghats across different districts in Bihar.

Atul Kumar Priyadarshan, program executive of Akashvani Bhagalpur, revealed that “Aankhon Dekha Haal” will air on Monday, highlighting events from Bhagalpur, Banka, and Darbhanga districts, coinciding with the day of the second Arghya.

Akashvani’s coverage will extend to Patna, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, and Banka districts, with eyewitness narrations capturing the essence of Chhath puja on both days. The broadcast will not only be available on radio but also accessible through the mobile app “News on Air” and the official website.

Atul Kumar Priyadarshan shared that “Aankhon Dekha Haal” will be telecast from Bhagalpur, Banka, and Darbhanga districts during the second Arghya day from 5 to 6.30 in the morning. The program will feature senior announcer Dr. Vijay Kumar Mishra reporting from Barari Ghat in Bhagalpur and contributions from Virju Bhai, Milind Gunjan, and Sujit Kumar at Chandan river in Banka, providing firsthand insights into the Chhath celebrations.

Notably, due to the Cricket World Cup final match between India and Australia on the first day of Arghya Daan, there will be no live telecast on Akashvani Patna. However, the radio report of the first day’s Arghya Daan will be broadcast after the conclusion of the cricket match. All All India Radio centers will simultaneously relay the program for two consecutive days.
