Bihar Approves Over Rs 49 Crore for Development of Karamchat Eco Tourism and Adventure Hub

Patna: The Government of Bihar has approved Rs 49,73,33,440 for the development of Karamchat Eco Tourism and Adventure Hub in Kaimur district under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2024-25. The initiative aims to transform Karamchat Dam and its surrounding area into an iconic tourist center of global standards.;
Karamchat Dam and Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary are significant tourist attractions in the district, drawing an increasing number of visitors every year. The project seeks to enhance tourism infrastructure, providing high-quality facilities to visitors, which is expected to boost tourist numbers and generate significant government revenue.
This development plan also promises to create employment opportunities and foster entrepreneurial ventures for the local population in the surrounding areas, contributing to the socio-economic growth of the region.
The Council of Ministers granted administrative approval for this project as part of its vision to elevate Bihar’s tourism sector and establish globally recognized tourist destinations. This initiative marks a significant step toward sustainable tourism development in the state.
