The targeted Bundela bus, en route from Dhanbad (Jharkhand) to Bihar Sharif (Nalanda), was on its way to Rajauli bus stand via NH-20 Sadbhavana Chowk through Sai Mandir when the armed robbers intercepted and forcibly boarded the bus.
Brandishing weapons, they threatened passengers and seized their mobile phones and jewelry. Disturbingly, passengers reported calling the police for assistance, but allege that no immediate help was provided.

The incident occurred around three in the morning, capitalizing on the cover of darkness. The miscreants reportedly fled towards the Khuri river of the city.
According to the police, 5-10 robbers managed to escape with stolen mobile phones during the robbery. Additionally, chains and earrings were snatched from three to four female passengers.
Nawada SP Ambrish Rahul said, “We are treating the matter seriously. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed under the leadership of Sadar SDPO to nab the robbers.”
