Bihar: Bhojpuri Actress Akshara Singh Rescued From Irate Fans After Police Lathicharge
DAUDNAGAR – Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh’s much-anticipated appearance at the inauguration ceremony in Daudnagar, Aurangabad district, took a tumultuous turn, leading to chaos and a policeman’s injury.
The incident took place when the actress, who was slated to arrive at 11 am, faced a flight delay, extending her arrival time to 4 pm on Wednesday for inauguration of Dalmia Bazaar at Lal Babu Market in Bhakhruan. The delay fueled frustration among the already gathered crowd eagerly awaiting her presence. The fans, hopeful for a selfie with the Bhojpuri sensation, grew increasingly agitated.
However, the situation escalated when Akshara Singh arrived three hours later than the revised schedule, reaching Daudnagar at 7 pm. The tardiness further fueled the displeasure among the fans, leading to a chaotic scene.
Witnesses reported that as fans clamored for selfies, a scuffle ensued, prompting Akshara Singh’s bodyguard and organizers to usher her inside the establishment. In a bid to control the situation, organizers closed the doors, further agitating some attendees who attempted to force their way in.
In response, the police used light force to prevent the unauthorized entry, resulting in a clash. During the commotion, a policeman, Kanhaiya Kumar, sustained head injuries and has since been transported to the sub-divisional hospital for treatment. The police also resorted to baton charges to disperse the crowd, leading to injuries among several local youths.
An FIR has been filed against 200 unidentified individuals by Bhakhruan TOP in-charge Naval Kishore Mandal. Additional Police Station Head Sunil Kumar explained that the police faced resistance when attempting to rescue Akshara Singh from the business establishment, prompting an angry crowd to try to approach.
To control the situation, the police employed mild force. Subsequently, Akshara Singh was safely escorted out of the area.
The incident has sparked discussions about the lack of proper arrangements. Sources reveal that when Akshara Singh was being taken out from the back door of the business establishment, her vehicle was not parked nearby. This led to the crowd closing in, creating a tense situation.
Dr. Prakash Chandra, who played a crucial role in ensuring Akshara Singh’s safe exit, expressed concern over the incident. He emphasized that he informed the police that if they couldn’t ensure her safe exit, he would take matters into his own hands, which eventually happened.
Accompanied by his security guard, Dr Chandra took Akshara Singh out of the vehicle, ensuring her safe departure for Patna. He urged the people of Daudnagar to reflect on the incident, emphasizing that such events tarnish the city’s image.
This incident marks the second time such a disturbance has occurred, highlighting the need for collective efforts to maintain a civilized society.
