Bihar Board Inter Exams: Fourth Day Begins with New Rules on Shoes and Socks Ban

Patna: The fourth day of the Bihar Board Intermediate Examination is being conducted today, with the English paper in the first shift from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM and the Hindi exam in the second shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.

Students must reach the examination center 30 minutes before the start of the exam, with first-shift candidates allowed entry until 9:00 AM and second-shift candidates until 1:30 PM.

Ban on Shoes and Socks Begins Today

From today, students wearing shoes and socks will not be allowed inside the exam hall. This rule will remain in effect until the end of the examination on February 15. The decision was delayed for three days due to cold weather but is now being strictly implemented.

Strict Security at 1,677 Exam Centers Across Bihar

This year, a total of 12,90,213 students—6,41,847 girls and 6,50,466 boys—are appearing for the exams at 1,677 centres, which is 150 more centres than last year.

To prevent paper leaks and other malpractices, the Bihar Board has installed CCTV cameras at every centre. A control and command centre has been set up at the board office for real-time monitoring. If anyone attempts to breach the examination boundary, legal action will be taken.

Over 75,000 Candidates Appearing in Patna

In Patna, a total of 75,917 students are appearing for the exam, with 37,174 girl students and 38,743 boys across 85 centres. Bihar Board Chairman Anand Kishore stated that a unique ID has been issued for every student, and question papers will be available in 10 different set codes to prevent cheating.

New Relaxation for Admit Card Errors

  • If a student forgets their admit card or loses it, they will still be allowed to appear in the exam after their photo is verified with the attendance sheet.
  • In case of photo mismatches or errors, students can use Aadhar card or PAN card as proof of identity.

Control Room Set Up for Complaints

To address any irregularities or complaints, a control room has been set up, which will remain operational until February 15 at 6:00 PM. Candidates or parents can report issues by calling 0612-2232257 or 0612-2232227.
