Rajgir/ Patna: In a big push for sports development in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday inaugurated a new set of world-class sports facilities at the Rajgir Sports Academy and University. From international-standard basketball and volleyball courts to a modern hockey turf and indoor halls, the state is aiming to transform its young athletes into national and global champions.

“This is a proud moment for Bihar. Our youth now have the kind of facilities they need to compete at the highest levels,” said CM Nitish during the event. He was joined by Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary and other senior ministers and officials.

The new infrastructure includes multiple courts and training areas built to international standards. It is expected to improve the quality of sports training across the state and help nurture future Olympians from Bihar.

Adding to the day’s highlights, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a new Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) at the Rajgir Police Academy. This lab will save time for police investigations in Nalanda and nearby districts, as forensic cases no longer need to be sent to Patna.
