Bihar Braces for Rising Temperatures as Dry Weather Persists

Patna: Temperatures in Bihar are set to rise in the coming days, with maximum temperatures expected to increase by three to four degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures by two to three degrees Celsius over the next 72 hours, according to the Meteorological Centre in Patna. Dry weather will persist across the state due to the influence of westerly winds, with mild cold in the mornings and evenings.
A western disturbance is currently positioned as a cyclonic circulation over Iraq, with another system in the southeastern Bay of Bengal, but their impact on Bihar is expected to be minimal.
Over the last 24 hours, temperatures rose in 25 cities, including Patna, where the minimum temperature reached 17°C. The coldest location was Banka at 11.9°C, while Buxar recorded the highest maximum temperature at 33.5°C. Patna’s maximum temperature stood at 31.2°C.
Most districts recorded a rise in temperature, except for Darbhanga, Khagaria, Madhepura, Supaul, and Forbesganj, where conditions remained steady. Maximum temperatures across the state ranged from 27.5°C to 32.6°C, while minimum temperatures varied between 11.9°C and 18.7°C.
With no major weather disturbances expected, Patna and surrounding areas will continue to experience dry conditions in the coming days.
