Bihar Bypolls: Prashant Kishore calls Nitish Kumar a “genie who won’t go back in the bottle” in scathing attack
Gaya: Jan Suraj party convenor Prashant Kishore launched a sharp critique of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during a gathering with the Bhumihar community in Nakoramthu village, Belaganj, Gaya on Tuesday. Kishore accused Nitish of creating divisive policies that he claimed would “cause quarrels in every family.” He warned the crowd about Nitish government’s land survey initiatives, suggesting that they would lead to widespread property disputes and undermine family unity.
“Nitish Kumar is like a genie,” Kishore told the audience, warning, “Once he’s out of the bottle, he won’t go back.” He accused Nitish of implementing a complex system that would require genealogical records for land ownership, including signatures from women, which he argued would restrict people from selling their land. “If this survey is completed, half of your land will become disputed,” he said.
Kishore urged people to reconsider their support for Nitish and to examine the implications of the land survey policy. He suggested that voters could choose independent candidates or opt for the NOTA button if they disagreed with Nitish’s policies. Kishore’s remarks came as he campaigned for his candidate, Mohammad Amjad, in Kormathu, historically a stronghold of the Bhumihar community and a former base of the Ranvir Sena during the Naxalite era.
The strategist-turned-politician concluded by telling the crowd, “The decision of voting is in your hands.”
