Bihar Cadre IPS Officer Shivdeep Lande, Known as ‘Singham,’ Resigns, Announces Decision on Social Media
Patna: Shivdeep Lande, a prominent Bihar cadre IPS officer popularly known as ‘Singham,’ has announced his resignation from the Indian Police Service. Lande, whose name has long struck fear in the hearts of criminals, shared the news on his Facebook page, stating that after 18 years of service, he has decided to step down from his post.
In his heartfelt message, Lande wrote, “My dear Bihar, after serving in a government post for the last 18 years, today I have resigned. Throughout these years, I have always placed Bihar above myself and my family. If I have made any mistakes during my tenure as a government servant, I apologize for them. Although I have resigned from the IPS today, I will continue to stay in Bihar, which will remain my karmabhoomi.”
A 2006 batch IPS officer, Lande began his career in Munger district, where his dedication, honesty, and humanity left a lasting impact. His tough stance on crime earned him a reputation that made criminals tremble at the mere mention of his name. Despite his resignation, Lande has assured that his commitment to the state remains unwavering, promising to continue his work in Bihar, his chosen ‘karmabhoomi’.
