Bihar: CBI Alleges Political Vendetta in Ranveer Sena Supremo Brahmeshwar Singh Mukhiya Murder case

Brahmeshwar Singh

ARA: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raised serious allegations of political vendetta in the murder of Ranveer Sena supremo Brahmeshwar Singh Mukhiya. In a 63-page supplementary charge sheet filed in the court of Sessions Judge-III of Ara District and Sessions Court, the CBI claims that the murder was a result of increasing political influence and popularity among specific castes, farmers, and laborers in Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Jehanabad, Gaya, and Aurangabad districts.

According to the charge sheet, after his release from jail in July 2011, Mukhiya’s efforts to unite farmers and laborers in these areas under the Nationalist Farmers Organization posed a threat to the political career of his rival. The CBI names former MLC Hulas Pandey, along with Abhay Pandey, Nand Gopal Pandey alias Fauji, Ritesh Kumar alias Monu Singh, Amitesh Kumar Pandey alias Guddu Pandey, Prince Pandey, Baleshwar Rai, and Manoj Rai in a conspiracy to murder Mukhiya.

The investigation suggests that fearing a political downfall, Hulas Pandey and others planned the murder to eliminate Mukhiya’s growing influence.

The incident, which took place on June 1, 2012, involved Hulas Pandey, Abhay Pandey, Nand Gopal Pandey alias Fauji, Ritesh Kumar alias Monu, Manoj Rai alias Manoj Pandey, Baleshwar Rai, Amitesh Kumar Pandey alias Guddu Pandey, and Prince Pandey. The charge sheet details how Mukhiya was lured into a Scorpio, where Hulas Pandey and others allegedly carried out the murder.

The court has fixed a new date for the case on January 3, while the accused are set to be summoned for necessary proceedings.

In response to the charge sheet, Hulas Pandey has resigned from his post as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Board of LJP (Ram Vilas) Party. He disputes the allegations, calling them baseless and unjustified, claiming he was at his Patna government residence with a government bodyguard on the day of the incident.

The CBI has identified 30 people as witnesses in the supplementary charge sheet, including the Mukhiya’s sons Indu Bhushan and Om Narayan Rai, common people, doctors, police officials, and CBI investigators. FSL’s investigation report and post-mortem reports have been attached to the chargesheet.
