The Union government unveiled the list of Padma Awards 2024 winners on Thursday, marking the nation’s second-highest civilian honors. These prestigious awards, conferred by the Government of India, celebrate exceptional achievements across various domains.

The Padma Awards are categorized into three levels: Padma Vibhushan (for exceptional and distinguished service), Padma Bhushan (for distinguished service of a higher order), and Padma Shri (for distinguished service). Notably, the awards aim to acknowledge outstanding accomplishments in all fields where a public service element is involved.

Recipients are selected based on the recommendations made by the Padma Awards Committee, constituted by the Prime Minister annually.
