Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Inspects Chhath Ghats, Emphasizes Safety and Hygiene
Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday inspected various Chhath Ghats at Patna, emphasizing cleanliness, safety, and hygiene during the upcoming festival.
The Chief Minister (CM)’s journey began with an inspection of the ghats from Gai Ghat to Kangan Ghat, where he traveled by steamer. Continuing his inspection, he explored multiple Ganga ghats from Kangan Ghat to Nasriganj in Danapur, offering insights and guidance to officials during the process.
During the inspection, CM Nitish provided clear instructions to officials, underlining the importance of maintaining cleanliness, safety, and hygiene at the ghats. He emphasized the need for strict security arrangements, considering the water level and flow of river Ganga. The Chief Minister urged officials to pay special attention to Chhath fasts, ensuring they receive all necessary facilities and encounter no hindrances while offering Arghya.
Speaking about the preparations, CM Nitish said, “Make all arrangements keeping in mind the facilities and safety,” emphasizing the importance of considering the facilities and well-being of Chhath Vratis.
The Chief Minister also highlighted that a recent inspection had been conducted, during which he gathered information about the arrangements made at the Chhath Ghats.
The thorough inspection on Tuesday was carried out in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Finance, Commercial Taxes, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, and Water Resources-cum-Information and Public Relations Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha.
The Chief Minister was joined by senior officials, including members of the Bihar State Disaster Management Authority, Manish Verma, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Aamir Subhani, and several other senior officials from various departments.
