Valmiki Nagar: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday inaugurated the ₹106 crore International Convention Centre and Guest House in Valmiki Nagar in West Champaran district. Present at the occasion were the Building Construction Minister Jyant Raj and Water Resources Minister Vijay Chaudhary.

During the event, the Chief Minister unveiled a statue of Maharishi Valmiki at the convention centre premises. He inspected various blocks of the centre and reviewed its facilities.

This centre is set to become a significant venue for regional and international conferences, workshops, and other programs. The project marks a crucial step in the area’s development and is expected to enhance the local economy.

Nitish Kumar spent approximately 30 minutes in Valmiki Nagar, conducting inspections of different sections of the convention centre. Despite rainfall during the inspection and inauguration program, all activities were successfully completed under the shelter.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been actively advocating for the development of Valmiki Nagar. His efforts in the tourism sector here have been substantial, with ongoing projects aimed at rapid development. The convention centre is poised to play a pivotal role in attracting tourists to the region.
