Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Multiple Projects and Lays Foundation Stones in Rohtas District

Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday inaugurated various development projects in Rohtas district, including the unveiling of the drinking water supply scheme for Aurangabad, Dehri, and Sasaram cities under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan. The event took place at the Anicut located at Dehri on Sone, where Chaitanya Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of the Water Resources Department, provided detailed information about the scheme through a map presentation.
CM also inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of the Tech Lab and Workshop at the Government Industrial Training Institute in Dehri on Sone, costing Rs 307.73 lakh, and Sasaram, costing Rs 272.07 lakh, under the Saat Nishchay Yojana – 2. During his inspection of these facilities, he reviewed advanced equipment, including laser cutters, electric vehicle sections, additive manufacturing labs, and Internet of Things labs, gathering detailed information from officials.
In addition to inaugurating projects, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for several initiatives, including a police station building and a regional forensic science laboratory in Dehri. He also initiated the construction of 66 libraries, 17 new Anganwadi centers, and renovation work for 372 existing Anganwadi centers across various blocks in the district. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of timely and proper completion of all projects.
The CM further inaugurated the library and Panchayat level Public Service Center in Bhainsaha, Bastipur, where he inspected the facilities and noted the convenience they would offer to the local community. Additionally, he observed an exhibition organized by the Health Department, District Industries Center, and District Transport Office. He distributed keys and certificates to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes, including the Bihar Mahadalit Vikas Mission and the Chief Minister’s Block Transport Scheme. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Water Resources Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Labor Resources Minister Santosh Kumar Singh, and Building Construction Minister Jayant Raj, among others, were present during the event.
