Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Phase-2 of Lohia Path Chakra Project in Patna
Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar unveiled the second phase of the Lohia Path Chakra project on Friday, seamlessly connecting Bailey Canal Road to Boring Road at Hartali Mor. This development aims to alleviate the persistent issue of traffic congestion at Hartali Mor.
During the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed officials to plant trees and incorporate solar panels in the surrounding areas.
The Lohia Path Chakra project’s second phase introduces a pioneering Swap system, a first-of-its-kind implementation in Bihar’s road construction sector. This unique intersection allows motorists to alter their route without navigating through a traditional intersection, offering a solution to frequent traffic snarls.
The introduction of the Swap system eliminates the hassle of traffic jams, granting people the flexibility to travel in all directions using the underpass. Additionally, motorists can change their route within the underpass, even returning in the direction they came from by utilizing a U-turn.
To further enhance the efficiency of traffic flow, a dedicated U-turn, modeled after the one near gate number-1 at Patna zoo, has been established near Boring Canal Road. This innovative design expands the roadway from two lanes to a simultaneous movement in 12 lanes.
In an effort to guide motorists through the intricate Lohia Path Chakra underpass and flyover, comprehensive signage has been strategically installed. These informative signboards aim to prevent confusion and help individuals navigate the complex network of routes seamlessly.
