Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Pioneering Ethanol Plant in Nalanda, Promoting Sustainable Biofuel Production
Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar unveiled an expansive ethanol plant in the Ben block of Nalanda district on Tuesday. The inauguration of this state-of-the-art facility, established by Patel Agri Industries Pvt. Ltd., represents a significant step towards sustainable energy production in the region.
Boasting an impressive daily capacity of 500 kiloliters, the ethanol plant spans over 30 acres of land. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, which marked the official inauguration, was a monumental affair. Chief Minister (CM) Nitish, flanked by other esteemed dignitaries, commenced the proceedings by unveiling the commemorative stone plaque. He further initiated the plant’s operation by pressing the symbolic button.
Following the inauguration, CM Nitish conducted a comprehensive inspection of the ethanol plant, thoroughly assessing the setup and gathering information on the plant’s various arrangements. Notably, he also participated in a tree planting initiative within the ethanol plant premises, underscoring the government’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The event witnessed the presence of several prominent figures, including Industries Minister Sameer Kumar Mahaseth, MP Kaushalendra Kumar, MLA Jitendra Kumar, MLC Reena Yadav, former MLA Chandrasen Prasad, former MLA Sunil Kumar, former MLA Rajeev Ranjan, former MLA Heera Bind, former MLC Raju Yadav, and other public representatives. Dilip Patel, the Chairman cum Managing Director of Patel Agri Industries Pvt. Ltd., was also in attendance, underscoring the significance of this project for the private sector.
Notable government officials graced the occasion as well, including Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department, Sandeep Poundrik. Patna Divisional Commissioner Kumar Ravi, Inspector General of Police of Patna Zone Rakesh Rathi, Nalanda District Magistrate Shashank Subhankar, and Nalanda Superintendent of Police Ashok Mishra.
