Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Lays Foundation Stone for Multi-Storey Archives Cell Building in Patna

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone for a new multi-storey Archives Cell building in Patna, aimed at better preserving the state’s growing records.

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on July 8 laid the foundation stone for the construction of a multi-storey building for the Archives Cell at Nehru Path in Patna. The stone plaque was unveiled at the construction site, where the chief minister directed officials to carry out the work expeditiously.
Highlighting the need for the new facility, CM Nitish said the building is being constructed in the rear part of the existing Archives Building complex to accommodate the increasing number of records and to ensure their better preservation.

After the ceremony, the chief minister reviewed the Archives Building complex and inquired about its arrangements.
Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Department S Siddharth, Chief Minister’s Secretary Kumar Ravi, Special Officer Gopal Singh, Director of the Archives Building Md Faisal Abdullah, and other senior officials were present at the event.
