Nitish Kumar Leads Departmental Review Post-Lok Sabha Elections

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reviewed the progress of various projects with state officials during a meeting held at the ‘Sankalp’ office located at 1 Anne Marg on Thursday. He emphasized the need for expeditious completion of these works, prioritizing them for the benefit of the public.

Chief Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra provided a detailed presentation on the ongoing development projects. Nitish urged the officials to approach their tasks with heightened sensitivity and transparency, stressing the importance of addressing public issues promptly.

The Bihar CM highlighted the urgency of finishing projects under the Saat Nishchay-2 program, including ensuring the widespread availability of drinking water and the effective implementation of tap water supply to every household. He also called for swift execution of plans to deliver irrigation water to every farm, aiming to ease agricultural operations for farmers and enhance their productivity.

Additionally, the Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the installation of smart prepaid meters and the establishment of agricultural feeder connections for farmers. He advocated for the creation of industries in all districts and the improvement of healthcare facilities in every village. Nitish underscored his administration’s support for sports, insisting that athletes should receive adequate facilities down to the panchayat level.

The meeting also addressed the reconstruction of Patna Medical College Hospital, a project intended to provide modern and superior medical services to the public.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, along with Ministers Vijay Chaudhary, Mangal Pandey, and various departmental officials, also attended the meeting.
