Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, PM Modi Discuss “Operation Sindoor,” Caste Census at NDA Chief Ministers’ Meet

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in discussions on “Operation Sindoor” and the nationwide implementation of a caste-based census during a meeting of NDA chief ministers in Delhi.

New Delhi/Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accompanied by Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, attended a high-level meeting of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) chief ministers chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. The meeting, which concluded with Nitish’s return to Patna this evening, saw the presentation of two key proposals, including the success of “Operation Sindoor” and a nationwide implementation of the caste-based census.

Sources indicate that all chief ministers present endorsed both proposals. Discussions also focused on replicating the success of “Operation Sindoor” across the country. With Bihar facing assembly elections this year, all eyes were on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s contributions and demands during the meeting.

Following the meeting, Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary highlighted discussions on “good practices” from various states. “Operation Sindoor, initiated by the Prime Minister, was discussed in detail,” Choudhary stated. “The caste census has been announced. The Prime Minister was thanked for both these issues. An attempt was made to convey that the entire country stands with him.”

Choudhary further elaborated on Bihar’s “Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan,” stating, “We presented our views on the ‘Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan.’ Chief Minister Nitish Kumar initiated how ponds were freed from encroachment, how one lakh ponds were created, how water sources increased in Bihar, and how we are working to make government buildings solar-powered.”

The significant NDA gathering was presided over by Prime Minister Modi and also included Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Bharatiya Janata Party National President J.P. Nadda.
