Accompanied by senior officials, the Chief Minister visited Veer Kunwar Singh Park, named after the iconic 1857 freedom fighter, to assess the readiness for the Vijayotsav celebrations on April 23. Nitish directed authorities to ensure the park is well-maintained and welcoming for visitors. “The site should offer a comfortable and uplifting experience to the public,” he said during the walkthrough.

The Chief Minister then inspected preparations for what is expected to be a historic air show along the JP Ganga Path. The event, to be held on Shaurya Diwas, will feature the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team performing aerial manoeuvres with Hawk-132 fighter jets – a first for the city of Patna.

The air show, scheduled to last an hour, will take place near the Sabhyata Dwar, on the banks of the River Ganga. Seating arrangements for spectators are being made along the Ganga Path, in an area east of the underpass near the Divisional Commissioner’s Office.

Nitish emphasised the need for robust crowd control measures and heightened security during the high-profile event. “All necessary steps must be taken to ensure the safety and smooth movement of the public,” he instructed officials.

Joining the inspection were the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretaries, Deepak Kumar and Dr S. Siddharth, along with Secretary Kumar Ravi, Patna District Magistrate Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Avkash Kumar, and other senior administrative and law enforcement officers.
