The event, scheduled this afternoon, comes in an election year and will see participation from National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders as well as the general public. Preparations are in full swing for the Holi Milan gathering, which will take place from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Two-Hour Celebration Amid Tight Security
According to sources from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and Janata Dal (United) (JDU) leaders, entry to the event will begin at 3:30 pm with strict security checks in place. Attendees will not be allowed to carry mobile phones inside the premises. Several senior NDA leaders are expected to join the festivities, which will continue until 5:30 pm.
CM Nitish, known for his simple Holi celebrations, will mark the occasion with herbal gulaal alongside party leaders, workers, and attendees. The CM’s residence has been decked up for the festival, with a special arrangement of traditional Holi delicacies. JD (U) state president Umesh Kushwaha confirmed the event, highlighting that it is the first Holi gathering at the CM’s residence in years.
Political Significance Amid Elections
Holi celebrations at the Chief Minister’s residence were discontinued in recent years, particularly after the Covid-19 pandemic. However, with elections approaching, this year’s event takes on added political significance. Unlike previous gatherings, this time both NDA leaders and the general public will be part of the celebrations.
