Bihar Congress President Criticizes BJP and RSS on Republic Day in Patna

Patna: On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee celebrated with a flag-hoisting ceremony at its state headquarters, Sadakat Ashram. State Congress President Akhilesh Prasad Singh hoisted the flag, marking the event attended by schoolchildren, party leaders, and members.

In his address, Akhilesh Prasad Singh emphasized the importance of respecting the Constitution and adhering to its principles. He highlighted the threats posed by the BJP and RSS, accusing them of being anti-constitutional and pursuing divisive policies. Singh referenced statements by former RSS chief K S Sudarshan and BJP leaders about changing the Constitution, accusing the ruling party of undermining democratic values.

Singh further criticized the central government, alleging that its policies have led to increased hatred, unemployment, and inflation. He pointed out the struggles of lower- and middle-class families, citing rising prices of essential goods like milk, pulses, petrol, and vegetables. According to Singh, the Modi government has prioritized corporate interests over the welfare of common citizens.

The Congress leader also highlighted the challenges faced by farmers and laborers, claiming that wrong agricultural policies and stagnant wages have worsened their conditions. He criticized the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and income tax policies for burdening the poor and middle class, while corporate loans were waived.

Singh described the current period as a “transition phase” for the country, calling it “Vishkaal” instead of “Amritkaal.” He urged people to recognize the Congress party as the only solution to protect their interests and uphold constitutional values.

Several prominent Congress leaders, including Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Madan Mohan Jha, Ramjatan Sinha, Kaukab Qadri, and Premchand Mishra, along with numerous other party members and leaders, attended the event, reinforcing the party’s commitment to the Constitution and democracy.
