Bihar Government Launches German Language Training to Boost Global Employment Opportunities

Patna: The Bihar government has launched a German language training initiative to enhance the international career prospects of the state’s youth. The programme, run under the Department of Labour Resources, is part of ‘Project Mandhar’, a collaboration with Bihar-Jharkhand Fraternity Munich EV (BJFM) in Germany.
The training, conducted online, is being offered at several Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Bihar, including those in Dighaghat, Purnia, Marhaura (Saran), Gaya, Darbhanga, Munger, and Bhagalpur. The initiative aims to equip trainees with the language skills needed to secure employment in Germany.
In its first phase, 150 trainees will receive certification at the A1 level in German, followed by another 150 in the second phase, bringing the total to 300. Once certified, candidates will be provided with guidance and support to explore job opportunities in Germany.
The Secretary of the Labour Resources Department Deepak Anand described the initiative as a “historic opportunity” for Bihar’s skilled workforce, enabling them to secure better livelihoods while enhancing the state’s global reputation.
