Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan Meets Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, Sparks Political Speculation

Patna: Bihar’s newly appointed Governor, Arif Mohammad Khan, made headlines on Wednesday with a series of meetings on New Year day that have stirred political discussions across the state. Despite not having taken the official oath yet, Khan visited the residence of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi in Patna. During his visit, he wished both leaders a Happy New Year and extended birthday greetings to Rabri Devi, whose birthday coincided with the occasion.

Earlier in the day, Khan had also received New Year greetings from Leader of Opposition, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, who visited Raj Bhavan to meet the Governor.

The Governor’s visit to the Yadav residence followed a trip to Kalyanbigha, the ancestral village of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, where he was accompanied by the CM to mark the death anniversary of Nitish Kumar’s mother, Parmeshwari Devi. The duo paid tribute to the late leader by garlanding her statue at the Ram Lakhan Singh Smriti Vatika.

Khan’s unsworn status has raised eyebrows, particularly in the context of his meetings with prominent political figures in the state. Political circles have been abuzz with speculation, questioning the implications of these interactions ahead of his official swearing-in ceremony.
