Bihar Labour Department Hosts Workshop to Improve Worker Welfare and Workplace Safety

Nalanda: To improve worker conditions and ensure better coordination between employees and employers, the Labour Resources Department of Bihar organised a workshop focused on the health, safety, and welfare of workers at the workplace.
The event took place on Tuesday at M/S Carriage Repair Workshop Harnaut, Sirchandpur, Harnaut, Nalanda, following the directives of Santosh Kumar Singh, the Minister of the Labour Resources Department, and Secretary Deepak Anand. The dialogue is part of a wider effort to strengthen communication between workers and management, aiming to resolve workplace issues and improve overall conditions.
As mandated by departmental guidelines, such dialogues are required at factories with over 1,000 employees. During the event, workers were allowed to voice their concerns, with management engaging in discussions to address these issues in line with established regulations. Management also provided assurances that necessary actions would be taken to resolve any challenges highlighted during the session.
