Bihar Land Conversion Portal Simplifies Industrial Land Use Approvals

PATNA – The process of obtaining permission to convert agricultural land for industrial or business use in Bihar has become more accessible through the Bihar Land Conversion Portal landconversion.bihar.gov.in

Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Alok Mehta inaugurated the online portal on Monday, allowing individuals to apply for land use changes without extensive paperwork. 

Mehta emphasized the importance of this step in promoting industrialization in the state, highlighting that the entire process is now available online. Sub-divisional officers have been empowered with additional authority, and the land conversion certificate can be downloaded online after the completion of the process. Payment can be made online through various channels, enhancing transparency and reducing the need for entrepreneurs to navigate government offices. 

Additionally, Minister Mehta announced exemptions for small shops and micro-enterprises from the conversion certificate requirement under certain conditions.
